Major League Baseball Player. For seven seasons (1973, 1975 to 1980), he was a pitcher with the Atlanta Braves and Texas Rangers. Born Paul Adrian Devine, he attended Ball High School in Texas and later played collegiate baseball at Sam Houston State University. Signed by the Atlanta Braves during the 2nd round of the June 1970 Amateur Draft, he broke into the big leagues on June 27, 1973. In 1977, while with the Texas Rangers, he produced a career high in wins with 11 and innings pitched with 105 as mostly a reliever. In 217 career regular season games, he compiled a 26 win, 22 loss record with a lifetime 4.21 era, in 387 innings pitched. He died from cancer.
