Ronald Patrick Blazier, 50, Bellwood, died unexpectedly Saturday, December 4, 2021 at his home. He was born July 30, 1971 in Altoona, a son of Barbara A. (McClellan) Kleinfelter and the late Ronald E. Blazier.

Ronald was a 1989 graduate of Bellwood Antis High School. He was a former professional baseball pitcher, who played for the Philadelphia Phillies and Baltimore Orioles spanning over ten years. In 2008, he was elected to the Blair County Sports Hall of Fame.

Ron was currently employed as a forklift operator at PPG Industries, Tipton. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles, Bellwood. An avid baseball and sports fan, he also enjoyed throwing darts, shooting pool, hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed playing softball on a local team.

Friends will be received from 4 to 8pm, Weds., December 8, 2021 at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Inc. Bellwood. A funeral service will be held at 8pm Wednesday at the funeral home, with Pastor Randy Zitterbart officiating. Interment will be at Antis Cemetery, Antis Township.

During his brief career he compilied a win-loss record of 4-2 with an ERA of 5.38 in 63 games. Prior to starting his professional career he attended Bellwood-Antis high school in Blair county Pennsylvania and played in their baseball program and was inducted into their Sports Hall of Fame in 2008.
