Casper Burghart, 87, retired Santa Fe shopman, died Wednesday at his home, 525 Sardou.
He was born November 23, 1867 in Pfieffer, Russia and had lived in Topeka since 1912. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Catherine Kaberline and Mrs. Mary Gorrell, Topeka, Mrs. Elizabeth Kippes, Chicago, Ill., and Mrs. Hilda Boos of the home; 16 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 8 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with burial in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
