Granville P. Evans, is buried next to his wife, Vesta (Norvesta O. Blansett) Evans under a large old tree. He is the son of William Nelson Evans and Mary Elizabeth Hurst. Granville and Vesta were devoted to each other and their five children (four listed below). A son Esto D. Evans, born in Thayer, died a few days later (January 1893). (His site has not been identified.)
Granville was a very talented man. He was a photograher and druggist. He wrote songs and poetry (and published a few), in addition to being a preacher in the Ozarks.
