Rita was just 17 yrs old when she died in an automobile accident on Del Dios Highway, Escondido, CA. She was survived by her parents, Fran and Bernie Bergmann, and a sister, Sherri Kitzmann of Canada, her brother, Gregory Bergmann of Escondido and her maternal grandmother, Amelia Searl of Canada. Rita was a very sweet young lady and is missed by her family and friends.

Rita is my little sister. I love this picture of her. I was the one who cut her hair when she was little. She was 7 years younger than me. She was such a happy light! She had the greatest laugh! I miss her all the time! she's forever 5 to me
