State College Woman Dies In Head-on Crash
BELLEFONTE - Franziska Stover, 36, of State College, was killed at 1:15 a.m. today when her auto collided with another car on Route 64, one mile north of Pleasant Gap.
She was pronounced dead at the scene by Centre County Coroner W. Robert Neff of a fractured neck and internal injuries.
State police said the driver of the other vehicle, Dewayne Shaffer, 25 of Lock Haven, was admitted to Centre Community Hospital in Bellefonte in fair condition.
According to police, the Stover auto was southbound on Route 64 when it crossed the centerline and struck the Shaffer auto head-on. Police set damages at $1.500 each to both cars.
