Rev. Chester V. Adgate was the son of Thomas and Elizabeth (Chester) Adgate. He was the 1st husband of Hannah (Berger) Adgate Scofield. Hannah died February 11, 1839. Rev. Adgate was a minister in the Methodist Episcopal Church: Genesee (Western New York)/now Upper New York) Conference 1819 F 1821.
