Westhoff

All that was mortal of Mrs. Carl Roewe was laid to rest last Monday evening. The funeral services were conducted at the Lutheran church at 3:30 o'clock by the Lutheran pastor, Rev. Elmar Jackob's.

Wm. Fertch, Albert Veit, Henry Pairia and Paul Seidel were the pallbearers.

The long procession followed to the Herman cemetery. The beautiful floral offerings attested to the high esteem of loving friends and relatives.

Mrs. Carl Roewe was born November 24 1861 in Oldenburg Germany and came to America with her parents in 1867 landing in Fayette county Jan. 29, 1885. She was united to Carl Roewe this union was blessed with 8 children a daughters and 6 sons, one son Adolph preceded her in death.

Surviving to mourn her passing are her husband, 5 son's Willie Robert of Bishop, Henry Charles and Otto of Westhoff 2 daughters Miss Paula of Westhoff, and Mrs. Willie Staubs of Grerman.

She has resided in Westhoff since 1907 and was years and 3 months and 16 days old at her death, we extend our deepest sympathy to the loved one in their sorrow.
