"Mrs. Dorothy R. Southworth, of Atlanta, formerly of Ashland, died Thursday, October 12, 2000. She was born June 21, 1922 to Thomas W. and Grace Moore Ross of Doswell. Her husband, Mr. Clinton H. Southworth preceded her in death in 1997. Mrs. Southworth is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Joseph L. and Julie B. Southworth of Atlanta; four grandchildren, Mrs. Mary Ross Southworth Missig of Wheaton, Ill., Mr. James Clinton Southworth of Richmond, Va., Grace James Southworth and Anna James Southworth, both of Atlanta. The family will receive friends 2 to 2:30 p.m. Friday, November 17 in Reid Funeral Home, 412 S. Washington Hwy., Ashland. Following the visitation, graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. in Signal Hill Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Pace Academy, 966 West Paces Ferry Rd., Atlanta, Ga. 30327.
