Frances "Fran" Blackwell Duggan, 81, of 36 Frontus Street, died Saturday, 5 Jun 1999.
Born in Atlanta, she was a daughter of the late Sanford Jackson and Flora Estelle Holt Blackwell. She retired from Meyers-Arnold and McMahan Shoes and taught china painting for 20 years. She was a member of Eastlan Baptist Church where she was active in the Co-ed #5 Sunday School class.
She is survived by her husband, J. Willis Duggan; a daughter and son-in-law, Gayle D. and Larry Kay of Cumming, Ga.; a son and daughter-in-law, Sanford Willis Sr. and Martha Duggan of Greenville; a son-in-law, John B. Barton of Greenville; a brother, William Paul Blackwell of Buford, Ga.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Nadeen D. Barton.
Service: 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Entombment will be in Greenville Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
Memorials may be made to Eastlan Baptist Church Building Fund, 625 S. Pleasantburg Drive, Greenville, South Carolina 29607, or to the Nadeen Duggan Barton Nursing Scholarship Fund, c/o Greenville Technical College.
