Obituary
Rev. Jonah Baldwin Tuttle
The Rev. Dr. Jonah Baldwin Tuttle pastor of the North Baptist Church of Philadelphia
Died at his summer residence at Ocean City, NJ, yesterday afternoon, after a long illness. He was born July 8, 1836 near Washington Court House, OH and was the son of Rev. Chandler Tuttle. He was educated at Dennison University, Cranville, OH and Foermount Theological Seminary, Cincinnati, OH. He was ordained to the ministry at Washington Court House, OH, in May 1861. After pastorates in Ohio, Indiana, Ontario and Kansas, he went to Philadelphia in April 1899. He had a severe attack of the grippe in February last and had only partially recovered when a complication of diseases set in. He resigned his Philadelphia charge in June last. His body will be taken to Cincinnati for burial.

Jonah married Alma M. Peters on 18 Dec 1861 in Fairfield County OH, to this union was born seven children, Burton, Frederic, Clara, Ida, Grace, Kate and Florence.
