ELBERT SLAYBACK
Funeral services for Elbert (Scottie) Slayback, 78, R.R. 1, Aurora, were held this morning (Tuesday) at Rullman Funeral Home with burial in Oakdale Cemetery, Dillsboro.
Mr. Slayback died Friday at General Hospital, Cincinnati. He was a member of the Old-Time Ballplayers Association and at one time was under contract with the New York Giants. He was a retired employee of Joseph E. Seagram and Sons, Inc.
He is survived by a niece, Deanna Miller, Dillsboro; and three nephews, Lawrence, Elbert and Chester Kinnett, all of Aurora.
The family suggests memorials be given to area life squads.
