Mr. Ben Jack, 75, of Springdale, AR died Friday November 6, 2009 in a Fayetteville, AR hospital.
He was the owner and operator of Ben Jack's Guitar Centers in Fort Smith, Fayetteville, and Bentonville. He also owned and operated Ben Jack's Recording Studio in Van Buren, as well as several other area businesses. He did a lot of charity work for animals, especially cats, as well as charity work for children. His father Frank "Bus" Jack founded Jack's Motor Company in Van Buren.
Ben was preceded in death by a son Rick Jack.
Graveside service was at Gill Cemetery in Van Buren, with burial at Gill Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
Ben is survived by his wife Shirley of the home, a daughter Marsheila Jack of Austin, TX, 2 sister-in-laws; Betty Dixon of Garland, TX, Jonnie Neal of Van Buren, 2 brother-in-laws; Gary Burkhart and his wife Linda of Van Buren, Walter Burkhart of Sherman, TX, his close friends Linda Ward of Springdale, AR, Joe Phelps of Santa Monica, CA, several nieces and nephews, and his two beloved cats; Ace Man and Cowboy, of the home.
