Major league baseball player in 1912. Pitcher for the Chicago White Sox.

Private funeral was held Wednesday for Lee W. Delhi, former professional baseball player and retired steel company executive, who died of a heart attack Sunday at a local hospital.

A native of Arizona, he started playing baseball at the age of 17 with the Los Angeles Angels. Later he pitched for the Chicago White Sox and the Pittsburgh Pirates. He gave up baseball in 1915 to enter business.

He was a graduate of the California Institute of Technology and a retired vice president of Western Pipe and Steel Co. of San Francisco and Los Angeles.

Delhi was a past president of the California Metal Trades Assn. and former member of the Astronomical Society.

He is survived by his wife, Rose Delhi, and his daughter, Mrs. Prince.
