He was a retired U.S. Air Force veteran, moved to Central Florida in 1972 and was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, the Air Force Association and the Retired Officers Association. Preceded in death by his wife, Betsy, surviving are children, Kathy Birkel, Beverley Bare and Robert Cook; brother, Dan Cook; stepchildren, Jim Moskos, Jeffery Moskos, Nancy Atkins and Susan Jaffee; 9 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and 8 stepgrandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at Asbury United Methodist Church in Maitland. Newcomer Funeral Home in Orlando is serving the family. Published in Orlando Sentinel on February 5, 2010.
