Our loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and dear friend GLEN BERGER HOWARD, passed away at St. Joseph Hospital in Bellingham, WA on July 16, 1995 at the age of 72.

Glen was born in Wildrose, North Dakota on March 22, 1923, a son of Sigurd Berger Howard and Sarah Shultz Howard. He grew up in North Dakota and at the age of 14 came to Auburn, WA and then to Kent. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and in 1973 he moved to Whatcom County where he worked for Washington Asphalt & Lakeside Industries. He was then employed as a construction superintendent for Wilder Construction for 12 years. He enjoyed crafts and making homemade wine.

On October 12, 1946 he was married to Dorothy Donkelaar in Coeur 'd' Alene, Idaho and she survives her husband at the family home. Other survivors include her sons Glen Howard and wife Marcie of Monroe, and Keith Howard and wife Teresa of Bellingham; daughters Vicky Schlyer and husband Jim of Kent, Rebecca Bleakney and husband Mike of Blaine, and Cindy Gilliam and wife Gary of Bellingham; brother Joe Howard of Orting; sisters Wynona Fenster of Des Moines and Alvina Rhode of Kent.
