Funeral services for Moises "Mocho" Rodriguez, 70, of Lubbock will be on Monday, Feb. 19, 2007, at 10 a.m. at Guajardo Funeral Chapels. Evening services will be at 7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 18, 2007, at Guajardo Funeral Chapels. Burial will be at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park with Rodrigo Garcia Jr. officiating. Moises died on Feb. 16, 2007.
He was born to the late Ruperto and Carmen Rodriguez on Sept. 4, 1936, in San Juan. He married Dolores Vasquez on Dec. 24, 1960, in Lubbock. He is preceded in death by his sister, Marcelina Gonzales and his beloved brother, Refugio "Cuco" Rodriguez.
Survivors include his wife, Dolores Rodriguez; one daughter, Norma (Paul) Mendoza of Allen and one son, Noe (Judy) Rodriguez of Lubbock; three brothers, Ruperto Rodriguez of Ohio, Ramiro Rodriguez of Lansing, Mich., and Noe Rodriguez of Austin; three sisters, Eva Garcia and Irene Rodriguez of Edinburg and Olivia Navarro of Stafford; and four grandchildren, Amanda, Jon Paul, Ashleigh and Ian.
Pallbearers will be: Rudy Garcia, Rogelio Garcia, Rafael Garcia, Victor Garcia, Michael Robles, and Rolando Rodriguez. Honorary pallbearer will be Moises "Little Moises" Rodriguez.
Moises was the pillar of hard work and integrity. He was loved and respected by his family and friends.
