Daughter to Capt Christopher Hudson and Sarah Anderson. At the time of the death of Christopher Hudson in 1825 he was the owner of 5,000 acres which encompassed the Mt Ayre Estate that he had given control of before his death to his grandson and Elizabeth Gilmer's son, Gov Thomas Walker Gilmer.
