Berthold Albert, pioneer of Aurelia, N. D., died at 4:30 yesterday afternoon, at a local hospital following a year's illness of heart trouble and complications. Mr. Albert's condition had been serious for the last two months and he had been in a Minot hospital for the last three weeks. Mr. Albert was the father of Mrs. Harold Nelson of Minot.

Funeral services are to be held from the Moravian church at Aurelia at 1:30 on Friday of which church Mr. Albert had been an active member for 41 years.

Surviving the deceased are his widow, seven sins, Theodore, Walter and Edgar of Aurelia, Herbert and Henry of Ekalaka, Mont., Berthold Jr., of Gold Hill, Ore., and Harold of Detroit, Mich., and three daughters in addition to Mrs. Nelson, Mrs. Theodore Nelson, Mrs. August Rockman and Mrs. Orville Johnson, all of Aurelia. Another daughter, Mrs. Minnie Torbert, died about six years ago. Mr. Albert is also survived by a brother Theodore Albert of Superior, Wisc., and a sister, Mrs. Robert Scheel of Westhope, N. D.

Mr. Albert was born near Berlin, Germany on November 16, 1855 and came to America when 19 years old. He settled in Minnesota and on January 15, 1880 married Miss Augusta Reusswig. In 1909 he came to this part of the country from Hector, Minn., and since made his home at Aurelia.
