CONTOOCOOK -- Donald T. Rondeau , 81, died Jan. 27, 2011, at his home.

He was born in Ware, Mass., Jan. 5, 1930, to Oliver and Elmira Rondeau.

He was raised on a dairy farm, the youngest of eight children. Having the gift of a beautiful voice he went into show business. In 1955 and 1956 he had two platinum records; Two Different Worlds, and White Silver Sands.

He started Ronson Ziebart in 1976 in Hooksett. One of his greatest pleasures was spending time on his Ford tractor in the woods at his home. Always a farmer at heart, he will be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched.

He was predeceased by a son, Ronald, in 1985.

Family members include his wife of 61 years, Ida Mae (Bousquet) Rondeau; a daughter, Deborah of Penacook and a son, Gary of Contoocook; three grandchildren; a great-grandson; and a sister, Lorraine Smith of Monson Mass.

SERVICES: A celebration of Don's life will be held on Feb 5, 2011 at 6 p.m. at the Puritan Restaurant, 245 Hooksett Road, Manchester.

Donald T Rondeau (aka Fred Schwartz and Joshite the ragman) age 81 of Contoocook New Hampshire passed away Thursday morning Jan. 27th at his home. He was married to Ida Mae (Bousquet) Rondeau for 61 years. Born in Ware Ma. on Jan. 5th 1930 to the late Oliver and Elmira Rondeau. He was predeceased by his son Ronald in 1985. He leaves behind a daughter Deborah of Penacook and a son Gary of Contoocook. Also three grandchildren and a great grandson. He is also survived by a sister Lorraine Smith of Monson Ma.

A celebration of Don's life was held on Saturday, February 5, 2011 at the Puritan Restaurant 245 Hooksett Rd Manchester, NH.
