Richard Schmitz Rite Set At Sacred Heart Catholic Church
Richard Schmitz, 80, a retired farmer from Malone, R. 2, died at noon Tuesday at St. Agnes Hospital. Mr, Schmitz was born Nov. 3, 1886, in Mount Calvary, the son of Anton and Agnes Hartogh Schmitz. He married Louisa Bartell. She died in May. He had retired from farming in 1948.
Survivors include one son, Dr. Sylvester Schmitz, Mansfield. Pa.; one daughter. Miss Frances L. Schmitz. city three grandchildren: and seven sisters, Mrs. Pauline Atkinson, Mrs. Julia Rieden, Miss Emily Schmitz, Mrs. Peter Konen and Mrs. Ray Sippel, all residing in Mount Calvary, Mrs. Louis Wuest of the city and Mrs. Henry Feyen, New Holstein.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Thursday at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home and 10 a.m..at Sacred Heart Church. Rev. Raymond L. Fox officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Funeral services for Richard Schmitz, who died Tuesday were held at 9:30 a.m. today from the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and 10 a.m. from Sacred Heart Church, Rev. David R. O’Malley officiating. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery Pallbearers were Alex Schmitz, Gilbert Schmitz, Anthony Holzman, Willard Atkinson, Joseph Bartel and Andrew Bartel.
