John Brethauer, 85, died suddenly of a heart condition. He was born in Walter, Russia and came to the USA May 1, 1907, and had lived in the Greeley area since then. He was a retired farmer. A member of St. Paul's Congregational Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Katherine; four sons, Jake of Kersey; Fred of Minidoka, Idaho; William of Wiggins and George of Laird; three daughters, Mrs. Rachel Lanning of Cheyenne; Mrs. Lola Walters of Oakland, Calif., and Mrs. Esther Miner of Trier, Germany; 23 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A son John Jr. died in 1925.
