Mrs. Moos was born in Rosenheim, Germany, the daughter of the late Alexander and Frieda Wiener. She moved to Prague at the beginning of World War II and then to the Philippines where she stayed for the duration of the war before moving to the United States in 1946. She was preceded in death by her sister, Kate Kohn.
Mrs. Moos had worked as a secretary for the U.S. government in several different capacities, most recently in the U.S. Custom House. She was a member of Ohef Sholom Temple in Norfolk, as well as its Sisterhood, on which she had served as a member of the Board of Directors. She also was a member of Brith Sholom and Haddasah.
Survivors include her husband, Henry Moos of Norfolk; a sister-in-law, Elsie Hirsch; a nephew, Steven Hirsch and his wife, Pamela; a niece, Evelyn Schwimmer and her husband, Jeffery; and great-nieces, Jessica and Vanessa Hirsch and Carrie Fuchs and Lisa Schwimmer.
Graveside services will be conducted Sunday at 1:30 p.m. in Forest Lawn Cemetery by Rabbi Michael L. Joseph, Rabbi Larry Forman and Cantor Jennifer Bern-Vogel. Memorial donations may be made to Ohef Sholom Temple or to a charity of the donor's choice. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk Chapel, is in charge.
