Note: A Foote family group sheet by Mary Ann Bell prepared in Feb. 1981 listed the name as "John Grier Harper Foote". That is the only reference to "Harper" being part of his given name (it was the maiden name of his mother, however). Pending any clarification, this memorial will be made with only "John Grier Foote" for the given name, omitting the use of "Harper". Any clarification or documentation otherwise would be appreciated.
Son of John Baldwin Foote and Mary E Harper Foote.
Husband of Janet Ann Macindoe (sic. a/k/a MacIndoe; a/k/a Janette Macindoe; a/k/a Jennie McIndoe)) Foote. Believed to have been married on Sept. 5, 1894, but needs verification.
His obituary (shown on this memorial) indicates that his wife and two children survived him. The names, genders, and dates of those children are not disclosed in either the obituary or other cemetery listings.
The children were:
Dr John Paul Foote, 1898-1969
Mary Elizabeth Foote Van Cleve, 1897-1974

Update: per message received on Feb. 14: "Author of the hymn "When I See the Blood" , and mentioned in the book Radiant Glory". A link to a related website was provided in the message, however such outside links are not permitted to be used within memorial bio sections.
