Paul, 80, Dogwood Dr., passed away at his home.
He was a son to Frank and Gertrude (Eilerman) Ahlers. On Aug 26, 1953, at St. Michael Church, Fort Loramie, he married Eileen Hilgefort, who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Douglas (Rebecca), Versailles, Mark, Altamonte Springs, FL, and Randal (Jolene), Fort Loramie; a daughter, Amy (James) Albers, Fort Loramie; five grandchildren, Sara (Justin) Ward, Daniel Ahlers, Mitchell (Morgan) Ahlers, Kreg Albers and Brooke Albers; two step-grandchildren, Eric Lea and David Lea; two great-grandchildren, Josie Ward and Adalynne Ahlers; and brothers & sisters-in-law, Cletus Hilgefort, Versailles, Edna (Eugene) Ahlers, St. Marys, Vernon (Margaret) Hilgefort, Newport, Phyllis (Lester) Sherman, Minster, and Lester (Joyce) Hilgefort, Newport.
Deceased are two sisters, Marie (Raymond) Curtis and Paulene (Robert) Dapore.
A 1949 graduate of Ft. Loramie High School*, he also studied General Business at Miami University and was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War. He retired in 1987 as Bank President from The Loramie Banking Co., where he had been hired as a teller in 1955. He attended St. Michael Catholic Church, served on Parish Council, and the St. Michael's Hall Building Committee. He also served on the Wilson Memorial Hospital Board of Directors, Ft. Loramie Board of Public Affairs and had been Clerk of the Ft. Loramie Village Council. He had been active in the Ft. Loramie Development Corp., Ft. Loramie GYM Committee and Athletic Booster Clubs, Minster Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge #1391, Ft. Loramie American Legion Post #355 and was a Charter Member of the Ft. Loramie Kiwanis. In his leisure time, Paul enjoyed golfing and fishing.
