Lifetime Resident, William H. Cullen, Buried Here Friday
Funeral services for William H. Cullen, a lifetime resident of rural Janesville, were held in St. Ann's Church Friday morning, July 6 with Monsignor F. T. English officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers were Frank Janowski, Matt Keeley, Herbert Finley, Earl Wilson, Ervin Stankey and Fred Arnoldt.
Mr. Cullen, 63, died at his home of a heart ailment, Tuesday evening, July 3. He had been ill for more than two months and had been home about two weeks after being hospitalized for six and one half weeks.
Mr. Cullen was born January 25, 1893, the son of William and Mary Jane Cullen. He married Loretta Schramski, Janesville, in 1913. The couple farmed near Janesville since that time. Cullen was assessor of Janesville Township for four years, a member of the school board for two years, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his wife; one son Eugene; and a daughter, Mrs. Arthur Storjohann and four grandchildren, aoll of Janesville.
