Mrs. Mary Catherine Fisher, Seventy-Eight Years of Age, Passes Away

Active In Catholic Church

Mrs. Mary Catherine Fisher, 78 years old, widow of Henry Fisher, died at 4:20 o'clock Saturday evening at her home, 136 East Broadway. Heart disease was the cause of her death, but until a few hours before she passed away her condition had not been though serious.
Mrs. Fisher was prominent in Catholic church activities, a member of the St Joseph Catholic church of this city and of the St. Anne Societies of this church and of St. Vincent's Catholic church. Her husband, who died about 21 years ago, was an auctioneer, well known throughout the county. At that time they lived near Waldron.
She was the daughter of William and Josephine Tebbie, and was born in Franklin county, March 29, 1852. She came to Shelby county 58 years ago, and had lived in Shelbyville for the last fourteen years. He marriage to Mr. Fisher took place on April 20, 1871.
Four of the eight children born to them survive: Mrs. John Zinser, Fred Fisher, and John Fisher, all of Liberty township, and Miss Agnes Fisher, at home. Mrs. Fisher also leaves two brothers and a sister: John Tebbie and Mrs. John Erthel, both of Tipton, Ind., and Joe Tebbie, of Franklin county. Eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive.
The funeral services will be held tomorrow morning at 8 o'clock from the St. Joseph church, with Rev. John C. Rager, pastor of this church. Rev. Pleres Dixion, of St. Vincent's and Rev. Wolf, of Indianapolis, officiating. Burial will be in the family lot in St. Vincent's cemetery, in charge of C. F. Fix & Son. Friends may call at the home at any time until the hour for the funeral.
