Funeral Services Held Wednesday for Mrs Koester

Mrs Katherine Koester, 81, of Route 3, Effingham died at 1 pm Sunday in St Anthony emergency center, She had been a patient there since August 15. She resided with her son, Ralph.

Mrs Koester was the former Katherine Repking of Bishop. Her husband was the late Tony Koester. She was a member of St Ann;s Altar Society of St Anthony Church.

Surviving are four daughters, Mrs William Huelbusch and Mrs Ben Meyer, both of Effingham, Mrs Mayme Eyer of Chicago, and Catherine at Home; one son Ralph at Home, one brother John Repking of bishop, seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

The rosary was recited at 8 pm Monday and at 7 pm Tuesday in the Bauer Funeral Home. Funeral services were held at 9 am Wednesday in St Anthony Church, with burial in St Anthony Cemetery.
