Our readers will be saddened to learn of the death of Rev. A. H. Ericsson who passed away at his home at Littleton, N. H. on the afternoon of November 9, 1936. The funeral was held on November 12. The news reached us just as the paper was going to press. Rev. August H. Ericsson
Many people from different parts of the State and Vermont attended funeral services for Rev. August H. Ericsson, for twenty-one years pastor of the Littleton Advent Christian church and president emeritus of the New Hampshire Advent Christian Conference.
Rev. Mr. Ericsson died at his home on Union Street, Monday following a protracted illness. Services were held at the church with Rev. H. E. Shattuck of Wolfeboro in charge, assisted by Rev. F. P. Fletcher and Rev. T. A. Goodwin of Littleton. The front of the auditorium was banked in a profusion of floral tributes paid Mr. Ericsson by church and business associates all over New England. Born in Vesterase, Sweden, June 2, 1874, Mr. Ericsson came to America where he entered the ministry and attained high respect and honor in the Advent Christian Society; he served for eighteen years as president of the New Hampshire [Advent] Christian Conference and at the time of his death was vice-president of A[lton] B[ay] C[amp-meeting] Association.
He is survived by Mrs. Ericsson, a daughter, Mrs. Ada Whiting and a grand-son, Eric Whiting, of Littleton; a brother, Claude Ericsson of Seattle, Wash. Our brother was greatly beloved by people in the church and by those outside. He rests from his labors and his works follow.
