On October 15, 2002 a Petition for Refusal of Administration for Insufficiency of Property was found at the Gasconade County Historical Society for Heinrick Apel Jr. deceased on behalf of his widow Caroline and four minor children under the age of four.
This document was dated on August 19, 1886 and stated that the total of his real and other property was about $680 dollars with outstanding notes in the sum of $340 dollars and doctor and funeral costs to be paid.
