Actress. A noted performer of the Soviet stage and screen for nearly half a century, she shall be remembered for her roles in more than 40 feature films. Born in what was then the Soviet Union, little is recorded of her early years though she apparently took to show business early as she made her silver screen debut in the 1938 "Semiklassniki". A member of the Film Actors Theater Studio for 46 years she had numerous supporting roles though she earned praise for starring turns in several movies including 1948's "The Young Guard" for which she and the rest of the cast received a Stalin Prize", the 1949 "Farewell America", "Balzminov's Marriage" and "A Tale of Lost Times" (both 1964), and 1977's "Wounded Game". Named People's Artist of the Soviet Union in 1977, Lyudmila earned her final credit with 1987's "Tantsploshchadka", lived out her days in Moscow, and died of the complications of advanced age.
