Bible record: died in 1855 at the age of 40 years and 11 months and 24 days. The bible is at the Jay County Historical Society. Nathan came to Jay County with his father John Jones (Jay) Hawkins in 1829. The 1987 Jay County History has a good account of Nathan B. Hawkins.
