Early Life: Sigrid was born in Breslau, Germany [now known as Wrocław, Poland], on February 11, 1939, to Ernst Paul Koska and Ethelgard von Seydlitz Koska.
Life's Work/Service/Interests: She married the love of her life, Junior Clair Runnells, on October 23, 1959. Sigrid was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She adored her grandchildren and devoted so much time in their lives. She held many jobs during her life but truly loved and excelled at being a homemaker. She was kind and generous to everyone around her and always put the needs of others before her own. She was a faithful member of the LDS Church and served for many years as a Primary teacher, and later served a mission in the Frankfurt Germany LDS Temple. She also served for many years as Secretary Treasurer in the Scouting program and received special recognition, along with her husband, for their years of service to the Scouting program. Sigrid could clearly see God's plan for her and displayed incredible faith, courage, dignity and even a sense of humor during her last days and throughout her battle with ovarian cancer. Sigrid Karin Koska Runnells, of Provo, Utah, passed away peacefully with her son and daughter by her side on January 15, 2016. She was 76.
Survived By: Her children: Stephen (Brent) Runnells and Suzanne (Kenton) Bailey; four grandchildren: Hunter, Braxton, Brooks, and Jax; and five siblings: Illa, Brigitte, Charlotte, Jutta and Reinhold.
Preceded In Death By: Her parents; husband; son, Burton Ricky; and brother, Manfred.
