William (sic) Went, son of William and Katharina (Wendt) Went, and Elise Schlosser, daughter of Joseph and Ida (Hoffelman) Schlosser, were married on May 21, 1896, at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church in Platte County, Nebraska.

ENID -- (1946) Funeral services for Frederick William Went, 73, who died at his home at 421 South Tyler, Sunday will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of the Fossett funeral home. Interment will be in the Enid cemetery.

He was born in Germany, but had lived in this country for more than 60 years. With his wife, he moved to Oklahoma (from Nebraska) and settled on a farm 9 miles west of Enid in 1906. Because of failing health, he retired from the farm in 1929 and moved to Enid.

Survivors include his wife of the home; two sons, Walter, nine miles west of Enid, and Klem of Enid; four daughters, Hattie Went of the home, Mrs. Frank Vogt of Enid, Lydia Went of Hollywood, Calif. and Mrs. Dale Hellwege of Liberal, Kans.; three brothers, Henry of Denver, Colo., Fred of Creston, Nebr. and Herman of Columbus, Neb. and 14? grandchildren. (Preceded in death by two infant boys who were also born to this union)
