ALMA SCHENEMAN, 89, of Fort Morgan, died Monday, August 13, 2012 at Colorado Plains Medical Center in Fort Morgan.

She was born May 25, 1923 in Sugar City, CO to Reinhardt & Katherine (Gerringer) Geist. Alma married Walter Scheneman on October 2, 1943 in Fort Morgan.

Alma was a school cook for RE-3 school district for several years before her retirement.

She was a member of Christ Congregational Church in Fort Morgan. She enjoyed gardening, bowling, cooking, and spending time with her family. Her grandchildren were especially important to her.

Alma is survived by her three daughters, Jeanne Howell and her husband, Harold, Kathy Lindsey and her husband, Ben, and Sharon Pounds and her husband, Darrell, all of Fort Morgan, 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter in April of 2012; her brothers, Riney Geist and Harold Geist; her sisters, Sara Pershing, Elsie Hamby, and Helen Martin; and her parents.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM on Monday, August 20th at Christ Congregational Church in Fort Morgan. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Fort Morgan.

Memorial donations may be made in Alma's memory to Christ Congregational Church in Fort Morgan.
