Shirley Stoler was an actress whose parents were Polish immigrants. A lady of large size, she was offered limited roles in television and movies, usually those of scary villains. She once said "Weight shouldn't be a hindrance, but casting people are afraid of it. I could play 'Medea', but they wouldn't cast me for it." She is best known for her part as the nurse in Leonard Kastle's "Honeymoon Killers" and the Nazi commandant in Lina Wurtmuller's "Pasqualino Settebellezze" (Seven Beauties, 1975).
