Charles Wayne Hader, age 66, of Eldon, died Monday, October 29, 2012, at St. Marys Health Center. He was born in Eldon on October 16, 1946, a son of the late Henry and Irene (Campbell) Hader. In 1980 at the Old Path Baptist Church he was married to Ellen Templeton, who survives at the home.

Charles was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam Era. Charles enjoyed reading, hunting, putting together models and woodworking. He also loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren.

Others who survive him include: seven children, Tina Capps and husband Eddie of Russellville, Matthew Hader and wife Charlotte of Selmer, Tennessee, Maya Phillips and husband Joey of Bethel Springs, Tennessee, Stefanie Hader, John Hader and Cheyenne Hader, all of Eldon and Lisa VanNorman and husband Karl of Garnett, Kansas; 18 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; one brother, James Campbell and one sister, Connie Roark, both of Eldon. His son, Charles Louis Hader, also preceded him in death in 2007.

A memorial service with military honors under the direction of the Miller County VFW Post 2442 will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 1, 2012, at Rekus Funeral Home in Eldon.
