Mrs. Bessie Bower, 82, Sapulpa, Okla., formerly of Joplin, died at 1 a.m. Saturday in the Bartlett Hospital at Sapulpa following a short illness.
Mrs. Bower was born March 13, 1891, in Joplin and had lived in Sapulpa several years. She was a member of the Sapulpa First Baptist Church. Her husband, Elmer G. Bower, died in 1966.
Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Nina Worthington and Mrs. Cathy (Cassie) Herring, both of Joplin, and Mrs. Lola Miner, Boron, Calif., and a brother, Lloyd Graham, of the State of Oregon.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Smith Funeral Home at Sapulpa.
The Rev. Gary Cook will officiate. Burial will be in the Bixby Cemetery.
Also in Bixby Cemetery is Bessie Graham Bower's brother, Joseph F. (Franklin) Graham (with wife, Emma; her nephew, Mathew Holland Graham; her neice, Juanita Graham Kemple.
