Dorothy Ann Stroh, 81, of Grand Island died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012, at St. Francis Medical Center. Dorothy was born Dec. 13, 1930, in Grand Island to William and Edna (Neubert) Steffen.

Survivors are: husband of 61 years, Rollie Stroh of Grand Island, NE.; son, Steve Stroh of Grand Island, NE.; daughter, Lisa Sadil of Omaha, NE.; sister, Maxine Brannon of Fremont, NE.; brother, Donald Steffen of Bradenton, FL.; sister-in-law, Lorraine Bacon of Grand Island, NE.; brother-in-law, Raymond (Bud) Stroh of Grand Island, NE.; grandchildren, Sam Stroh (Molly) of Kansas City, Mo., Sara Mortensen (Doug) of Omaha, NE., Ryan Sadil of Omaha, NE., Heather Stroh of Omaha, NE., Ally Sadil of Omaha, NE., Andy Stroh of Omaha, NE. and great-grandchild, Matthew, Mia, and Ella.

Dorothy grew up in Grand Island, NE. and received her education at Grand Island (NE.) Senior High, graduating in 1948. She was united in marriage to Rollie Stroh on Sept. 9, 1951, in Grand Island, NE. Dorothy and Rollie remained in Grand Island and began growing their family. Dorothy was employed by Carpenter Paper Company, until she retired in 1990.

Dorothy was a member of the Ladies Society of Platt Duetsche, American Legion – Women's Auxiliary, and various card clubs throughout her life.

Dorothy enjoyed her time with all of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She always remained very active in their many pursuits throughout the years. Dorothy loved traveling, going on shopping trips, and playing all types of card games with her family. Dorothy had a wonderfully kind spirit and was a delight for all to be around. Her ever-positive outlook on life was always contagious and brightened any day. Dorothy will be always remembered, in spirit and in memory, as her love will live on forever.

Dorothy was preceded in death by: parents.
