He is survived by children: Tim & Barbara Barhorst, Yellow Springs, Ohio; Deb & Tom Millhouse, New Bremen; Terry Barhorst, Cincinnati; Patrick & Thecla Barhorst, Minster; Tom & Fran Barhorst, Ft. Loramie; 9 grandchildren & 5 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brothers & sisters: Irenus Barhorst, Robert Barhorst, Raymond Barhorst, Agnes Behr, Margaret Monnin, Frances Wagner and Ann Maltinsky.
He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church and Ft. Loramie American Legion and a former member of F.O.E. 1391 Minster. He was a veteran of WW II, serving in Japan. He retired from Marwil Products, Ft. Loramie.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at St. Michael Catholic Church with Rev. Steven Shoup celebrant. Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, November 12, 2012 and from 9:00 to 10:00 AM on Tuesday, November 13, 2012. Burial will take place in St. Michael Cemetery with full military honors.
