Walter Ploeger, 45, farmer near Robinson, died Wednesday at the Missouri Baptist hospital at St. Louis, following a major operation. He had been in failing health due to a brain tumor the past four years. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p. m. Sunday at the Hiawatha Methodist church and the body will lie in state at the church from 1 p. m. He was born on a farm near Hiawatha July 21, 1904 [1903], and married Miss Rosemary Stutz of the Effingham community 17 years ago. She survives with a brother, Frederick Ploeger, of the home; a brother, Clifford, who lives in South Dakota; three sisters, Mrs. Mable Miller, Hiawatha, Mrs. Emma Bumbley and Mrs. Ida Rush, both of Denton. His parents and two brothers, Wesley and Eugene, preceded him in death.
