Frank Kunath, 61, a long-time resident of the Oyens community, collapsed and died at a farm sale near Remsen Tuesday afternoon. Death was attributed to a heart attack.
Mr. Kunath was born September 19, 1896, at Anthon. He came to the Oyens community many years ago and farmed until his retirement a year ago. He married Annie Kloster shortly after coming to this community.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Gethsemane Lutheran Church, Oyens, with Rev. John Peterson officiating.
Survivors include the widow, a daughter, Ruth, at home; a brother, John of Le Mars; two sisters, Mrs. Hattie Goodwin of Exira, Ia., and Mrs. Emma Mounsey of Sioux City.
The body was taken to the Moeller funeral home at Remsen where friends may call Thursday afternoon and until service time Friday. – Le Mars Globe-Post, April 3, 1958, page 13.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at Gethsemane Lutheran church in Oyens for Frank Kunath, 61, who died Tuesday afternoon when he collapsed at the Ed Bunkers farm sale east of Remsen, with a heart attack.
Mr. Kunath, a retired farmer living in Oyens, had previously farmed in Fredonia township northeast of Oyens.
AT the farm sale Tuesday he assisted in pushing a car which had become mired, which proved too strenuous. He died with minutes after his seizure.

Officiating will be the Rev. Johann Petersen of Oyens.
