Kenneth Leland John, 77, of Nampa, Idaho, died Monday, Feb. 28, 1994, at a Payette, Idaho, nursing home of natural causes. Graveside interment services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 4, 1994, at the Canyon Hill Cemetery, Caldwell, Idaho. Rev. Daniel Thimell of the First congregational Church, Nampa, Idaho, will officiate, under the direction of Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell, Idaho.
Mr. John was born April 23, 1916, at Roswell, Idaho, to Mary Mertie Dickerson and Arthur Leland John. He was reared and educated in Roswell, graduating in 1934. He served with the U.S. Navy in the Pacific area during WWII, being honorably discharged in August 1947. He later moved to Grangeville, Idaho, where he worked as a master electrician for the Ed Jones Co. He later moved to Caldwell where he owned and operated an apartment complex and worked for Caldwell Electric Co. While there he met and married Kathryn M. Caldwell. She passed away in 1976. After his retirement he continued to live in the area.
He is survived by one son, Edward John and his wife, Marleen of Payette, Idaho; one daughter, Judy and her husband, Daryl Turner of Grangeville, Idaho; 2 grandsons; 4 granddaughters; 1 great-grandson; 6 great-granddaughters; one sister, Lela Walmsley of Nampa, Idaho; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, and a brother.
