He belonged to the Eagles Lodge of Thermopolis and United Mine Workers of America. He also belonged to the Catholic Church.
Survivors at the time of his death included a son, Joe of Seattle; five daughters, Mrs. Agnes Bujak of Roundup, Montana; Mrs. Helen Lucas of Phoenix, Arizona; Mrs. Wilma Cramer of Downing, California; Mrs. Mary Borden of Thermopolis; and Mrs. Irene Flahaut of Lovell, Wyoming; a sister who lives in Austria; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Bob Jones, Guy Ugariza, Ed Flis, John Ralph, Tom Tortiensten and Tom Redland.
