A lengthy illness caused the death of Eusibius Kern, 81, of 88 Madison Street, last night at 10:10 in General Hospital.
Born in Wilkes-Barre Mr. Kern was associated with a brother in the milk business on East Jackson Street many years ago and later was employed by the Hitchner Biscuit Company, West Pittston. Ill health forced has retirement 30 years ago. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church, North Main Street.
Surviving are children, Lawrence, with whom he resided; Mrs. Philip Rieman, Shavertown; Harold, Morristown, N. J.; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be held Friday morning at 9 from Deppner Funeral Home, 294 North Pennsylvania Avenue, with a requiem mass at 9:30 in St. John's Church. Burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends may call tonight 7 to 10 and Thursday 2 to 5 and 7 to 10.
