DAVID W. DIERKSEN SR. CHILDERSBURG -- Funeral service for David W. Dierksen Sr., 64, of 166 Minor Terrace, will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Curtis chapel in Childersburg, with the Rev. Mahlon Felkins of Birmingham officiating and Rev. Tim Barns of First United Methodist Church of Childersburg singin. Burial will be in Harpersville Cemetery. Palbears will be men from The First United Methodist Church of Childersburg. Mr. Dierksen died May 16 at his residence. He worked many years for Machael Oil Company in Clinton, Iowa, as a certified master mechanic, and was a 21 year member of Moose Lodge No. 363 in Clinton, Iowa. He is survived by his wife, Mildred Starr Dierksen of Chldersburg; two sons, David W. Dierksen Jr. of Cedar Falls, Iowa and John Dierksen of Camanche, Iowa; two daughters, Carla Gingles of Childersburg and Tammy Rowen of Alexander City; two brothers, Jack Dierksen of Osmond, Neb., and Donald Dierksen of Clinton, Iowa; two sisters, Jane Dierksen and Norma Shekelton of Camanche, Iowa; seven grandchildren and two foster-grandchildren.
