MARTINSVILLE BULLETIN
Curtis Ray Dalton, 73, of 261 Tanglewood Drive, Martinsville, died Monday, Dec. 18, 2006, at Kindred Hospital in Greensboro, N.C.
Born in Dugspur on July 11, 1933, he was the son of William Harley Dalton and Rachael Alderman Dalton.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Thelma Dalton, and three brothers, Otis Dalton, Colin Dalton and Cohen Dalton.
He retired from Martinsville Ford as a parts manager and was a member of Chatham Heights United Methodist Church. He served in the Army during the Korean War.
He was a former and current Post "I" president and former Virginia state president of the Travelers Protective Association of America. He also was a member of the Virginia Blue Bird Society.
Survivors include his wife, Betty H. Dalton of the home; one daughter, Dana Long of Roanoke; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Norris Funeral Services chapel with the Revs. Edwin Burch and George Gorman officiating.
Entombment will be in the Roselawn Burial Park Mausoleum.
The family will receive friends at Norris Funeral Services from 7-8:30 p.m. today at Norris Funeral Services and other times at the home.
