Nellie Mae "Sally" Pieper
FORT WORTH -- Nellie Mae "Sally" Pieper, 87, died peacefully at home Thursday, August 19, 2004, after a long illness. Funeral: 11:30 a.m. Monday in Greenwood Garden Chapel. Burial: Greenwood Memorial Park.
Sally was born March 23, 1917, the eighth of 10 children. She will be greatly missed by her many friends in Fort Worth and elsewhere. Her sense of humor and approachable, easy-going personality made her well-loved by people of all ages in the community and in many parts of the world. She was always able to find the good in everyone and offer an encouraging word when needed. We would like to thank all the doctors and nurses and home caregivers who provided comfort in her time of illness.
Sally was preceded in death by her loving husband, Leo Pieper.
Survivors: Sister, Louella Turney; brother, David Macy; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, the Rev. Bill and the Rev. Phyllis Nelson.
