Leo A. Zipnock, 86, of Mt. Pleasant, died Friday, Feb. 27, 2004. Mr. Zipnock was born Jan. 1, 1918, in Mt. Pleasant, a son of the late Casper and Catherine Strozynski Rzepniak (Zipnock). Prior to retirement, Leo worked for L.E. Smith Glass Co. for more than 30 years. Mr. Zipnock was a member of Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church and the former Transfiguration Roman Catholic Church. He is survived by his loving family: his wife of 30 years, Catherine Werry Jakubek Zipnock; his daughters, Patricia Provlic and her husband, Kenneth, Marlene Beran and her husband, Richard, Denise Tulcholise and her husband, Thomas, and Marie Frena and her husband, Richard, all of Mt. Pleasant, and Wanda Bazzar and her husband, Frank, of Tarrs; his sons, Dennis Zipnock and his wife, Marrine, of New Stanton, Donald L. Jakubek and Mark Lemley, both of Mt. Pleasant; his grandchildren, Kenneth Provlic Jr., Rickie Provlic, Darlene Beran, Christine Furin, Sherry Lynn Zipnock, Sherry Vansickle, Tina Curry, Frank Bazzar Jr. and John Bazzar and Diane Franzino; great-grandchildren, Dennine Marie Provlic, Patrick James Provlic, Adrianne Lynn Provlic, Bryan Scott Provlic, Sarah Beran, Briana Vansickle, Jessie Vansickle, Nick Vansickle, Kiyah Curry, Kady Curry and Julianna, Nicholas and Brianna Franzino; great-great-grandchildren, Matthew, Benny, Allison, Jordan and Austin; and numerous nieces and nephews. Leo was the last surviving member of his immediate family. In addition to his parents, Leo was preceded in death by his five sisters, Sophie Bodziony, Emily Matulay, Helen Zgorecki, Frances Kaczmierski and Eve Zipnock, and his five brothers, Adam, John, Walter, Joseph and Stanley Zipnock. Friends will be received Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at GALONE-CARUSO'S, 204 Eagle St., Mt. Pleasant. A blessing will be held Monday in the funeral home at 9:30 a.m., followed by a 10 a.m. funeral Mass to be celebrated in Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, Mt. Pleasant, with Father Michael W. Matusak as celebrant. Interment will be in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Tarrs
