Mrs. Eva Margaret Hayssen, widow of Herman Hayssen, died Sunday at her home 502 Grant Ave., after having been ill for the past several weeks.
Mrs. Hayssen, nee Eva Margaret Zaun, was born August 22, 1847, at Mequon, WI. Her marriage to Mr. Hayssen took place on Nov. 8, 1875. Mrs. Hayssen was an honorary member of the Ladies' Auxiliary to the Sheboygan Gymnastic society, having been a charter member and its first president. She was active in this organization up until the time of her illness. Each summer she entertained the members at an outing at her cottage at Elkhart Lake.
Having lived in Sheboygan for many years, Mrs. Hayssen enjoyed a large acquaintance and many friends.
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Arthur Imig, this city; and two sons, Robert G. Hayssen, Milwaukee and Arthur Hayssen this city.
Private funeral services will be conducted at the Hayssen residence, 502 Grant avenue, on Wednesday morning. Father A. Parker Curtiss of Grace Episcopal church will officiate. Burial will be made in Wildwood cemetery.
